SUMMER IN BIG BEAR - MOUNTAIN BIKING, FISHING, BOATING

Now is the time to start planning your summer escape to Big Bear. Ride Down the Face of Snow Summit Snow Summit is So Cal’s only lift served Bike Park! Snow Summit has teamed up with Gravity Logic, a leader in the mountain bike industry to design all new trails for mountain bikes. Miracle Mile, Party Wave and Westridge Trails are open for summer 2014. Both Party Wave and Miracle Mile are advanced runs for experienced mountain bikers and they include upper level features such as step ups, berms, bridges and more. Westridge is a blue trail geared towards intermediate riders with some advanced features. Our Bike Park Terrain Crew maintains the trails and will keep a fresh set-up all summer long. Stay slopeside at Snow Summit in our "Slopeside Chalet" or the "Snow Summit Condo". Both are located right at the base of Snow Summit Bike Park.

SPRING SKIING IN JANUARY

As you may know Mother Nature has given us a twist in Sounthern California, providing us with 55 degree weather in Big Bear for the past several week and 75 degree days in Sunny San Diego.  Don't let this fabulous weather scare yu away from the ski slopes.  Tempratues have been cold enough during the evenings for plenty of continious snow making at Snow Summit Ski Resort and Bear Mountain.

The slopes are open and Big Bear is rocking with the new "Cave" lounge which features live music nightly and notable showings by such entertainers as "Andrew Dice Clay".

So, don't mistake this fantastic weather as a reason not to got to Big Bear.  Slopes are open and the "night clubs" are rocking.  Book your weekend getaway before the real storm strikes.

Bear Mountain is OPEN!!

Great news from the Bear Mountain Resorts' team – Bear Mountain is open!

Here is what they have to say:

We will have Chair 9 open top to bottom with terrain features. This will include trails: Upper Park Run, Expressway, The Gulch, and Lower Park Run. Please note that the runs off Chair 9 are intermediate to advanced. There will be NO beginner trails available on opening day as Chair 9 will be the only chair open. Plan on arriving early as ticket sales may be limited due to limited terrain.

Early season pricing will be in effect.

Adult: All-Day  $40.00, Half-Day $35.00, Getaway $12.00

Young Adult: All-Day $35.00, Half-Day $30.00, Getaway $10.00

Child: All-Day $16.00, Half-Day $12.00, Getaway $5.00

October is a special time of year- fall begins to show its colors, cooler temperatures begin to invade the mountains, and preparedness for fun winter activities begin!

October is also special because of the great food and beer that can be found in Big Bear for Oktoberfest!
